Assistant Stage Manager:
- Assists the stage management team, particularly in communication
with crew and cast.
- Calls cast to the stage in good time
- Deputise for DSM when required/covers rehearsals/ production meetings
when necessary.
- Assists in coordination of members of crew/set changes
- Liase with props and costumes to make sure people have the right
thing at the right time in the right place, instead of expecting a lantern
and being given a screwdriver.
It's good experience for becoming DSM at a later stage as you're also
involved in the creation of the prompt book to an extent, and working with
SM, DSM and Stage Crew is, well, an experience :)
