Curtains. Most often the curtains which are used to divide the
stage from the auditorium, the "House Tabs". It is common
practice for a person closing curtains to shout "Tabs coming
in" before doing so – this is because many theatre curtains
have metal weights in their hems to ensure they fall correctly.
These weights can give you a sore head if you get hit by them.
